About Maheshwari –

Queen of Indore Devi Ahilyabai Holkar asked weavers of Maheshwar to weave special
saris. Which was later developed as ‘Maheshwari style of weaving’.
They used fine silk yarn to make traditional ‘Sari’. Now a days silk n
cotton yarns are also used in tana bana to make beautiful elegant
royal fabric. Intricate Resham and zari borders gives it a unique look.
Further, traditional Hand-block printing of motifs adds more
elegance to the product.
